Students will be able to identify how people from different places and times use art, artifacts, music, and visual storytelling to record history and share values during holidays.

Students will be able to analyze how holiday displays and venues such as cultural centers, museums, galleries, and classrooms shape the way celebrations are experienced and understood.

Students will be able to revise a picture-supported Venn diagram using partner feedback and new evidence from the Holiday Passport Adventure.

Students will be able to explain one new fact about each culture and justify how the evidence supports their comparison of the celebrations.

Holiday Passport Investigation Notebook

Students complete a research-style notebook with station observations, annotated pictures or labels, a draft comparison, and a short written or oral reflection on what they noticed. The notebook proves each student’s own understanding of the celebrations, evidence, and cultural meaning.

Around the World Holiday Comparison Gallery Walk Display

Pairs or small groups create a revised Venn diagram display with visuals, labels, and a short oral explanation comparing two holidays and the meaning behind each celebration. The display must use evidence from each member’s notebook and include one note about a similarity, a difference, and a question that remains.
