Student U.S. States Investigation Notebook and Blank Map Check
Each student completes a research notebook with picture notes, state name practice, map sketches, and short explanations of how they used north, south, east, and west clues. The notebook ends with an individual blank-map task showing accurate state placement and naming.
Class U.S. States Map Gallery with Labeled Regional Maps and Captions
Teams create a gallery display of labeled U.S. maps, state name cards, and short captions that explain how they determined state locations. The gallery includes evidence from shared research, peer feedback, and notes about any uncertain or corrected placements.
