Launch
Students will experience a fast mini-Olympics challenge, notice what makes scoring fair or confusing, and begin the project by identifying measurable rules, safe procedures, accurate scorekeeping needs, and teamwork moves they will build on in later phases.

Research & Decide
Students will investigate fair scoring approaches, turn Olympic event ideas into measurable design criteria and constraints, compare multiple event concepts with evidence, and commit to one team event plan with draft rules, roles, and a justified decision before prototyping.

Prototype & Improve
Students will build and test their chosen School Olympics event, use scorecards and repeated trials to collect accurate data, revise weak rules or materials based on evidence and peer critique, and prepare clear tables, graphs, and trade-off notes that show why their improved design is fair and ready for the showcase.
Days 4 - 5

Showcase
Students will present and run their final School Olympics event stations, use scorecards and live leaderboard displays to explain fair scoring decisions, compare totals for accuracy, and complete a brief reflection on their role, math reasoning, and collaboration growth.
