Students will enter the project through a fast-paced kickoff that surfaces initial interpretations of fear, loneliness, and hope in Of Mice and Men, generates investigable questions, and clarifies the evidence-based work they will build in later phases.

Students will investigate how fear, loneliness, and hope shape survival choices by generating questions from kickoff experiences, practicing close evidence analysis from key scenes in Of Mice and Men, and designing a traceable method for collecting and testing character-change evidence before moving into board construction.

Students will gather and analyze scene-based evidence from Of Mice and Men, build a traceable character-change evidence board or digital collage, test their claims through peer critique, and revise their reasoning and QR caption content before the final gallery showcase.

Students will present their revised Choice Trail Gallery evidence boards to an authentic audience, defend their claims with textual evidence, and record a brief reflection that connects character choices to coping strategies, school culture, and their own thinking.
