Students will launch the Sherman Heights history investigation by examining photos, maps, artifacts, and oral history clues; naming what they notice about past and present community life; and using evidence-based sentence frames to begin comparing what changed and what stayed the same.

Students will examine puzzling Sherman Heights evidence, ask focused investigation questions, make a simple hypothesis, choose age-appropriate source methods, and record how they will collect and organize evidence for the next phase.

Students will gather and organize evidence from photographs, maps, interviews, biographies, and classroom discussions to document what changed and what stayed the same in Sherman Heights school and community life, using traceable notes and midpoint feedback to strengthen the evidence they will later use in their museum products.

Students will analyze the evidence they gathered, turn it into clear before/now visuals and explanations, revise their conclusions through peer feedback, and complete a museum-style checkpoint presentation with evidence-based comparisons, limits, and new questions.

Students will present their Museo Sherman findings to an authentic audience, explain changes and continuities with evidence, and reflect on the values that have helped Sherman Heights stay connected over time.
