Students will launch the project by experiencing how one traditional tale can suggest different lessons when told from different characters’ points of view, then begin building evidence-based claims about which lesson a story teaches and why. They will use a shared tale, quick performance choices, and simple evidence logging to prepare for later debate, adaptation, and revision work.

Students will take an early position on what lesson a traditional tale should teach, compare how characters view the same events, and build a first adaptation plan backed by story evidence. They will analyze competing interpretations, map evidence for and against a chosen lesson, draft a one-page story map and character perspective version, and use peer feedback to revise a short performance plan.

Students will gather and compare evidence from multiple versions of the same traditional tale, sort story details that support or challenge their chosen lesson, evaluate which sources are most trustworthy for their claim, and draft a short counterargument that uses specific character perspectives and story events.

Students will strengthen their tale remix by organizing clear claims about the lesson and point of view, matching each claim to story evidence and performance choices, responding to counterarguments, revising through peer critique, and rehearsing with expert coaching before a short public defense.

Students will present their final tale remix performances and process evidence to an authentic audience, explain how point of view shaped the lesson they chose, respond to audience questions with story-based evidence, and reflect on how feedback and revision strengthened their final work.
