Students will launch the plant investigation by comparing a real plant with nonliving classroom objects, acting out what happens when living things do or do not get care, and sharing one oral observation while pointing to evidence.

Students will investigate a simple plant-care pattern, choose what they will watch for, and co-create a clear plan for collecting evidence in the class plant journal through oral language, movement, sorting, drawing, and guided observation.

Students will compare earlier and current plant evidence, make simple visual conclusions about how light, water, and care affected the class plant, and rehearse a short evidence-based statement while pointing to a journal page, plant, or poster section.

Students will present the class plant journal and labeled plant poster to an authentic audience, point to evidence while sharing one plant observation or conclusion, and help choose how the work will be displayed in the classroom after the showcase.
