Students will launch the investigation by using map tools to solve a route challenge, examine a primary and a secondary source about a mystery historical figure, and record initial evidence and questions that will guide the next phase of planning.

Students will narrow an investigable question about one historical figure, identify one primary and one secondary source, and create a peer-reviewed source-and-methods plan for tracing route evidence on their atlas page.

Students will present their completed historical atlas pages to an authentic audience, explain how map features and source evidence shaped their route decisions, and complete a brief partner reflection on academic and teamwork contributions.
