Students will launch the design investigation by comparing contrasting consumer products, learning core design vocabulary, producing a first annotated sketch of a familiar object, and using partner critique to revise their observations before setting up the next phase of evidence-based analysis.

Students will refine an investigable design question, form a hypothesis about how visual elements and principles shape product function and user experience, and build a traceable Inkwire methodology plan through comparison, coding, peer critique, and revision.

Students will present their final visual design investigation to classmates, teachers, and an invited industry partner, defend their claims with annotated evidence, receive authentic feedback on design choices and communication, and complete a brief reflection on revision, success criteria, and next-step optimization.
