Rights Mystery Launch
Rights Mystery Launch
Students will examine clues from stories, images, and short nonfiction about fairness, safety, and respect, then use discussion, role-play, and early evidence analysis to shape a focused investigable question and a testable hypothesis about how people respond when a human right is threatened.
Days 4 - 9
Plan Research Method
Plan Research Method
Students will refine a focused human-rights investigation question, evaluate kid-friendly sources for credibility, choose a research method, and build an evidence collection system that prepares them to gather strong comparison evidence for their exhibit posters, captions, action cards, and voiceovers.
Days 10 - 15
Build Evidence Records
Build Evidence Records
Students will gather and organize evidence from stories, articles, videos, and community voices about one human right, record traceable notes in their investigation notebooks, compare fictional and real responses, and complete a midpoint quality check with peer and teacher feedback so their evidence is accurate and ready for analysis.
Days 16 - 21
Analyze Share Conclusions
Analyze Share Conclusions
Students will analyze patterns in their evidence, test whether their conclusions match their notes, and turn findings into clear exhibit materials for a public human rights display. They will create comparison visuals, draft captions, action cards, and voiceover scripts, use peer and teacher feedback to revise, and prepare accurate conclusions with limitations and next questions.
Days 22 - 27
Showcase
Showcase
Students will rehearse, present, and evaluate their Rights in Action Museum Walk exhibits for authentic audiences, using peer and visitor feedback to strengthen clarity, accuracy, and evidence-based explanations about how fictional characters and real people respond when human rights are threatened.
