Students will launch their building-trades investigation by rotating through hands-on trade stations, collecting evidence about three trades, examining artifacts and short texts for clues about changing tools and design choices, and recording initial ideas about which careers may be most in demand and why.

Students will analyze evidence from builders, trade unions, artifacts, and short texts to compare three building trades, determine which careers appear most in demand, and complete a short career assessment that includes one alternative or second-career pathway, evidence limits, and a new question for the next phase.

Students will present their Three-Trade Career Showcase Presentation to an authentic audience, complete a career assessment, gather and use feedback, and reflect on which building-trades careers are most in demand and why, including one alternative or second-career pathway.
