A personal investigation record showing how the student used roots, prefixes, suffixes, cognates, multiple-meaning words, and context clues to decode unfamiliar words in real-world texts. Decode the Real World Toolkit and Investigation Presentation

A team report and presentation that synthesizes each member’s evidence into shared findings about the most useful decoding strategies for everyday texts. The toolkit includes examples, visual explanations, limitations, and follow-up questions, showing how individual investigations led to a collaborative conclusion.
