Students will launch the project by analyzing how youth activists make messages convincing, build an initial claim about the power of student voice, and record an early reflection that begins their argument portfolio.

Students will sort and analyze mentor evidence from youth activist texts, test competing positions about the impact of student voice, and draft an initial evidence-based claim about what makes student voice persuasive enough to move people to act.

Students will evaluate varied youth-activist and issue sources, sort supporting and challenging evidence, and build a structured argument with sub-claims, warrants, counterclaim, and rebuttal that prepares them for revision and public defense.

Students will refine their action brief and speech through targeted critique, revision, and rehearsal so they can defend a realistic proposal with clear evidence, fair rebuttal, and audience-ready delivery.

Students will present their polished action briefs, speeches, and campaign kit materials to community guests during the Our Voices, Our Future Festival, respond to authentic questions with evidence-based reasoning, and complete the final portfolio submission with a closing voice memo.
