Students will launch the quadrilateral investigation by sorting mystery shape cards, naming shared attributes, testing which shapes belong together, and recording an initial question they can investigate in the next phase.

Students will refine an investigable sorting question about quadrilaterals, choose a clear attribute-based method, test that method with real shape cards and campus examples, and revise their claims using peer and teacher feedback before a checkpoint conference.

Students will present their completed quadrilateral investigation products to an authentic audience, defend their sorting decisions with attribute evidence, participate in a brief teacher conference using real shape cards, and close with a quick reflection on how feedback changed their thinking.
