Question
Students will launch their Global Trade Investigation by participating in a hands-on trade simulation, locating China and a partner country on a world map, and developing a focused, investigable research question with a clear hypothesis about how resources, specialization, and trade affect goods and consumer choices.
No activities have been added to this phase yet.
Design
Students will design a clear and age-appropriate investigation plan to answer their trade-focused research question about China and a partner country. They will choose a matching methodology, identify resources and variables, plan systematic data collection, and revise their plan through peer feedback before moving to the data collection phase.
No activities have been added to this phase yet.
Collect
Students will systematically collect and document trade simulation data and product origin evidence to answer their investigable questions about how resources, specialization, and imports/exports influence trade decisions between China and a partner country.
No activities have been added to this phase yet.
Analyze
Students will analyze their trade simulation and country research data by creating visual representations, identifying patterns and anomalies, and interpreting how specialization, resources, imports, and exports influence consumer choices and trade decisions.
No activities have been added to this phase yet.
Conclude
Students will finalize conclusions from their global trade investigations, explicitly acknowledge limitations, generate new questions, and present their Global Supply Chain Map and findings to an authentic audience while defending their reasoning with evidence.
