Students will visit a local community garden with their kindergarten peers, observing and documenting plant parts and their functions, while engaging in guided inquiry to understand the importance of each component in a plant's survival.

Students will collaboratively synthesize their observations and research from the seed planting and other activities to develop a central problem statement about the importance of different plant parts and their role in survival, guided by group discussions and targeted feedback from peers and community partners.

Students will brainstorm creative ways to demonstrate and communicate the importance of each part of a plant and its role in survival, using playful role-play scenarios or art techniques, to prepare components for their collaborative mural or poster project.

Students will craft clay models of plants, ensuring they represent all parts of the plant and life cycle, test alternative materials and structures for strength and realism, and iteratively refine their designs based on peer feedback to prepare them for exhibition.

Students will present their plant life cycle murals or posters to the kindergarten class, explain the importance of each plant part, gather feedback from peers, and reflect on their learning journey by contributing to the 'Garden Gratitude Wall.'
