Students will explore the book Brother Eagle, Sister Sky, craft a found poem, and identify open-ended questions related to Maidu culture and environmental adaptation to guide their upcoming research.

Students will explore various sources such as books, interviews, and online resources to gather detailed information on the Maidu people's cultural beliefs, traditions, and resource utilization, and create informational paragraphs to contribute to their final artifact.

Students will craft creative artifacts by synthesizing research on the Maidu people's traditions and practices, including writing poetry, building models, or creating presentations, in preparation for sharing their discoveries with peers.
