Students write a short evidence-based essay explaining how one California neighborhood changed over time and what gentrification can mean for residents. The essay includes observations from photos, maps, and neighborhood notes.

Neighborhood Improvement Fair Model and Presentation

Teams create a 3D model or visual plan for a neighborhood public space and present it at the neighborhood improvement fair. The presentation must explain the neighborhood's changes, the group's design choices, and how feedback shaped the final plan.
