Students will investigate online clues about invasive-species spread, connect human choices to habitat change, and develop a preliminary question for an individual investigation. They will begin an evidence notebook, review project products and safety expectations, and refine their question through remote peer feedback.

Students will refine an invasive-species investigation question, learn from Master Gardeners during the project’s only campus field day, evaluate reliable sources, and design a safe evidence-collection method. They will complete an approved research plan, source list, evidence notes table, initial CER, and weekly reflection before beginning data collection.

Students will safely collect and organize traceable evidence about a chosen invasive species through online research and optional observations at home or in a neighborhood park. They will check source quality, document contradictory findings and limitations, exchange feedback remotely with two peers, complete weekly and midway reflections, and revise their approved investigation method before beginning analysis.

Students will analyze evidence from home-based research and optional safe neighborhood observations, visualize patterns and limitations, compare solutions, and revise their conclusions through remote feedback. They will assemble a scientifically accurate PSA, visual explanation, before-and-after CER, and reflection for the digital gallery and virtual premiere.

Students will refine their digital gallery products through peer and community feedback, present their evidence-based PSAs in a virtual premiere, defend their conclusions, and reflect on how their understanding and environmental choices changed.
